About CARER+

The CARER+ project uses Information and Communication Technologies to support care workers in improving the quality of life for people who require care in their homes. Its purpose is to research potential benefits of technology on the quality of home care.

The Carer+ project intends to:

  • Equip EU care workers with the required set of digital competences to support older people (+65) in their use of ICTs and Ambient Assisted Living technologies that will enhance their professional status and impact positively on the quality of life, autonomy and safety of those in their care;
  • Equip care workers with a set of digital competences that will allow them to be more active in society, enhancing and diversifying their opportunities for EU mobility, employability (access to better jobs) and personal and professional development (access to VET).

The library gets closer to its user: challenges and opportunities

The main idea of the video is to motivate public libraries to provide the door-to-door ICT training to socially marginalized groups, to gain awareness of including the door-to-door ICT training in the library services offer, to promote training programs developed by the 3td project, to encourage libraries to develop their own training programs tailored to the specific needs of target groups or individuals, to promote e-services available on the Internet, to enhance e-inclusion of socially marginalized groups and to demonstrate public library’s role in reducing digital gap.
