Youth Employability is one of the main topics that will be discussed tomorrow in Riga at the European e-Skills for jobs conference. The European e-Skills for Jobs campaign and the European Get Online Week will be officially launched at the event.
Two sessions will tackle youth issues:
Session 3 – THE IMPACT OF ICT ON EMPLOYMENT: Education, Jobs and Careers in the Digital Age – turning e-Skills into jobs, moderated by Ian Clifford, that you know from YouRock. The panel will include representatives from ministries, industry and European Commission.
Session 4 – EDUCATION AND TRAINING SOLUTIONS TO ACQUIRE E-SKILLS: how innovative, technology based education can untap youngster’s potential to boost the economy, moderated by Telecentre Europe Director Gabriel Rissola. His interlocutors come from pan-European networks, schools and non-formal training providers. Among them is Adel Mojtahedi, coordinator of IT-guide - an intergenerational training programme where young people teach ICT skills to seniors, in exchange of life and soft skills. IT guide is promoted by Telecentre Europe member organization Enter Sweden IT guide.
