Created in 2008
The platform was created in 2008 when the Telecentre-Europe (now ALL DIGITAL) informal network was established. The platform's mission was the same from the start - to connect people interested in digital inclusion and empowerment.
A new name and boost in 2013
Then in 2013, the platform got a new boost and a new name thanks to the Unite-IT project.
The main objective of the project was to create an online community centered on collecting and sharing practices on how digital competence can assist groups at risk of exclusion to reconnect with learning, as a means to foster employability, social inclusion and social cohesion.

However, the platform has always been bigger than the project, and we at ALL DIGITAL are happy to support it.
In addition to serving its main purpose - uniting all those interested in digital inclusion and empowering and giving them the space to share their activities and achievements through blogs and events, the platform has hosted the blogs and photos for most of the editions of ALL DIGITAL Week (formerly Get Online Week), entries for ALL DIGITAL Awards (previously also called Telecentre-Europe, e-Inclusion, Unite-IT Awards), it collected best practices and events from across wider Europe and beyond.
