What does your organization do (100-word description)
Simbioza Genesis is dedicated to education in the light of intergenerational cooperation. It is based on a project, called Simbioza, which represents a true social innovation in Slovenia. Simbioza began in 2011 with nationwide workshops, where young volunteers teach the elder how to use computer for free. Simbioza projects: Intergenerational Center, where we daily organize activities for youth and the elder, Simbioza Schools, which continue the e-literacy in the local area within the primary and secondary schools,Simbioza Masters, where we educate young unemployed individuals (ICT skills, Entrepreneurship, Social Skills and work with elders) and Simbioza International, where we try to internationalize our know-how and experiences to foreign partners). Simbioza Genesis promotes lifelong learning, active ageing, voluntarism and ICT skills among all generations, especially youth.
