What does your organization do (100-word description)
Our organization, the Homokrészi Tanyavilágért Egyesület (Association for Homokrész Rural Area) - as it's name shows - works for the development of the underdeveloped area of Homokrész, in a wider meaning for the development of all the scattered farm areas in Hungary. As a part of this we founded and has been operating our Telehouse, which provides services for the locals and for the population of the neighboring city as well.
What digital skills training or activities do you or does your organization offer (if any)?
In the past we organized several ECDL training courses. Just now we provide Internet access and IT services in an area which is not supplied with the service.

How are you involved in digital inclusion / empowerment?
Our Telehouse was founded in 1999. We have been working since that time. First in the building of the raiéway station then in the middle of a scattered farm area, for providing Internet in an area which has poor Internet access. We were member of the Telehouse Association and were involved in several projects of Demnet and Közháló Alapítvány.

I got involved through a Telecentre Europe event
