What does your organization do (100-word description)
Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka is a nonprofit nongovernment organization registered since 1993 on the initiative of the Association of Technical Culture Rijeka with the task of encouraging and promoting technical education, computer science, and culture in general by organizing activities in order to stimulate the interest of children, youth, workers and other citizens in areas of scientific, technical and IT culture with application in business and everyday life, and the promotion of scientific, technical, IT and cultural achievements.
What digital skills training or activities do you or does your organization offer (if any)?
Continuing its 20 year tradition, CTC Rijeka is organizing IT courses and workshops for children, youth adults and persons of the 3rd age while offering every client individual approach. Educational programs are shaped and adjusted to needs of different groups of users. In the end, newly acquired knowledge and skills enable participants to find job more easily, organizations get educated and certified employees, rate of unemployment is lowered, and local community becomes able to respond to dynamic environment. Special attention is given to the organizations of civil society. In the field of IT education, we have established cooperation with organizations from technical culture field, organizations which help people with disability and people with special needs, war veterans, pensioners, etc.
Your function and/or responsibilities related to digital skills training and empowerment
I'm a volunteer and my primary role is leading workshops for children and youth. I've been involved in development of mobile applications and computer games as a part of a project.
My interests include competitive programming, robotics and improvement of skills that people currently have.
How are you involved in digital inclusion / empowerment?
I'm involved in digital inclusion through workshops I lead. Children and young people have an opportunity to learn and master unique skills that will help them in their lives and careers. I also lead a few workshops for elderly which included basics of Google usage and basics of blogging platforms.

Why would yo like to join the network?
I would like to join this network to be a part of this professional environment and to get a chance to learn something new and contribute to this community. My colleagues are already a part of this network so I wanted to join them!
