What does your organization do (100-word description)
The National Association of Librarians and Public Libraries in Romania (ANBPR) is the largest professional organization of librarians within the public libraries in Romania, with more than 3,300 active members, organised in branches with national coverage. Since its establishment, in 1990, this organization has aimed to coagulate, in a form of association at a national level, the expectations, needs and interests of those who, by their profession, interests and duties support the librarian profession, the development of the librarianship, informational science and documentation and to promote a nationwide system of modern public libraries, modulated according to the needs of the communities which they serve.
What digital skills training or activities do you or does your organization offer (if any)?
Training objectives include: improving digital skills of librarians and professionals in the ANBPR in order to become e-facilitators for e-inclusion, increase community involvement and fostering digital inclusion of vulnerable groups, learning of collaborative working skills, which lead to behaviors do good relationship with the team and collaborators, supporting lifelong learning, reducing digital exclusion, improving disparities between urban and rural by facilitating access to information for broad categories of population.
