What does your organization do (100-word description)
The mission of Langas I Ateiti is to participate in the development of the information society, increase the accessibility of the Internet and e-services in Lithuania by providing computer literacy, Internet and e-services training to adults, establishing public Internet access points (PIAPs) and stimulating the growth of e-services countrywide.
Today Langas I ateitį associates 13 private companies, two Ministries of the Republic of Lithuania. The initiative is gaining strong momentum because of effective cooperation with local and central government as well as local communities. Results of today - over 90 000 people has been involved in Langas I ateiti ICT trainings.

On February 6, more than 140 countries around the world celebrated Safer Internet Day (SID). Lithuania was no exception. With the slogan “Create, connect and share respect: a better internet starts with you” Lithuanian Safer Internet Centre (part of which is association “Langas į ateitį”) with bunch of partner organizations focused on respectful behavior and critical thinking while creating and sharing information online.

Since SID2017 – 100 decorated school library doors in Lithuania

The outcomes of one of the activities of Safer Internet Day 2017 in Lithuania are still visible in schools – 100 decorated library doors are inviting to be safer online whole year round. It is the result of a competition for schools „Decorate the library door“, implemented together with Microsoft Lithuania: 100 school libraries participated in the competition, 4,000 pupils and other members of school community involved.
