What we do as an organization (100-word description)
Digipolis is an inter-municipal ICT organization (governmental, but strictly non-commercial) for the two largest cities in Flanders(Belgium), Ghent and Antwerp. Digipolis is charged by the cities and the social welfare departments with the responsibility of digital support, development and promotion of ICT.
What ICT or e-skills training programs does my organization offer (if any)?
Digipolis is charged with the responsibility of digital support, development and promotion.

Building on the Gent2020 mission of the City of Ghent - “Ghent, a creating city, a pioneer in the development of a sustainable, solidary and open society by uniting all creative forces” - Digipolis is managing a collaboration project with various local stakeholders (including all public libraries) to provide free ICT access points in the whole City of Ghent focusing on disadvantaged neighborhoods and groups. At this time we have built up 94 spaces where people can use a computer and internet for free. In most of our locations we have volunteers who help starting ICT users with their first steps and answer questions when visitors have a problem. All is free for visitors because most of them are part of at-risk groups.

You can find telecentres in libraries, community centres, local service centres and many more public city facilities.

These telecentres aim to be approachable and easily accessible for people from all…
