What does your organization do (100-word description)
RER is the regional administration of Emilia-Romagna region. It runs the Pane&Internet (Bread&Internet) project which has been providing free digital literacy courses (to about 15K people) and is now setting up an e-facilitation service (personalized support to weak digital users on Internet navigation) currently based in about 110 local public libraries.
What digital skills training or activities do you or does your organization offer (if any)?
Basic digital literacy (20 hours course)
Basic digital competences for job searching and using employment services
Training of e-facilitators in public libraries (both library staff and volunteers)
Number of digital competence centres linked to your organization (if any)
About 100 public libraries are activating e-facilitation services
Your function and/or responsibilities related to digital skills training and empowerment
Consultant at ISMO (one of the two companies responsible for the implementation of P&I on behalf of RER
How did you learn about this community?
I got involved through a telecentre-europe event
Why would yo like to join the network?
EInclusion policies; ICT use for/by immigrants communities; using ICT in second language learning by adult immigrants
