European Parliament calls for rapid implementation of digital agenda

In plenary session on Tuesday 5 May, the European Parliament adopted, by a large majority, the resolution by Pilar del Castillo Vera (EPP, Spain) on Europe's digital future. According to the resolution, every European citizen should have access to broadband internet at competitive prices by 2013 and be trained in the skills needed to be able to participate fully in the new digital society.
