The best digital week so far - Romanian GOW 2016 - and beyond!

What a great week GOW 2016 was! Romania hosted for the seventh time in a row the localised verion of Get Online Week - Hai pe Net! campaign. Over 100 organisations joined the GOW partnership to help articulate the message about the importance of digital inclusion and opportunity for all. Libraries, schools, NGOs, individuals, old and young, disadvantaged and with special needs joined one ow the most well-known and awaited events in Romania.

Telecentre-Europe gets the 2010 Employability Award

The Employment week hosted on 25 November the Employability Awards ceremony in Brussels. Telecentre-Europe was awarded the Award for Integrated employability model & Use of Collaborative IT. The award is a recognition of the employability efforts of telecentres all across Europe.

Telecentre-Europe .... we were the last to leave the conference ....

Indeed we were the last ones to leave!!! Telecentre-Europe organised the workshop "What's next for the 292,000,000?" at the end of the eInclusion conference in Vienna. We had some very, very interesting discussions and we were struggling to finish on time with what we thought was really the most important theme of the conferenece: what will we have to do in order to ensure that all those who are not connected today get a real opportunity to participate in our knowledge… Continue

Telecentre-Europe update: coming soon ... a public launch for the network!!!

Hello all

We hope that you have all had a good summer. We would like to give you a very short update on a number of exciting developments with the Telecentre-Europe network

1. The Steering Committee have met in June and September to develop the plans for the organisation, and the governance and network membership documents. These will all be published next week on the Ning website.
