ALL DIGITAL is offering SCHOLARSHIPS and free toolkits to participate in a course for educators and administrators

Are you or your organisation involved in STEM education? Would you like to learn how to improve your approach? Or are you or your organisation planning to get involved in STEM education? If your answer to any of these questions is YES, then read on, this offer is just for YOU!

Innovative STEM-related activities within schools and communities are increasing, but most of them are driven by small groups with a relatively narrow focus. Consequently, the collective awareness that these activities are going on and about their importance, can be low, even within the community. Nevertheless, these activities offer good take-up potential and an opportunity for transformation, towards more inclusive communities, informed citizens and agile organizations. Organisations seeking to exploit this potential need to be particularly aware of this and develop their approaches accordingly.

ALL DIGITAL in cooperation with the Hellenic Open University are offering a public course titled Promoting STEM education using mobile and IoT technologies. The course will make use of material, results and experience that has been developed in the context of H2020 project UMI-Sci-Ed. The training will be organized over the course of 5 days, November 2018, 5th-9th in Patras, Greece.

The course promotes directly digital skills, vocational training, professional development and STEM education, focusing on sectors that will shape our lives from now and for the next 20 years. Improvement of entrepreneurship skills’ teaching will be an indirect outcome of the training. Participants of the course will realize the impact of mobile and IoT technologies on training / educational organizations and the business potential they offer. As a result, participants will not only be able to transform their organisations but will also acquire the knowledge and materials to disseminate the newly acquired skills in their communities, regions and countries.

Since this course could be very useful for ALL DIGITAL member organisations, we are offering scholarships to support participation of FIVE of them. If you are representing one of ALL DIGITAL member organisations, do not hesitate to apply HERE! We will select 5 participants based on the impact their participation will have on them, on their organisations and in their communities. This impact will be evaluated based on your inputs into the below form by representatives of the UMI-Sci-Ed project.

The selected participants will receive a lump sum of EUR 325 towards their travel and subsistence costs and a discount of EUR 75 on the cost of the course. We will also provide you with one of the UDOO-Neo kits worth over 100 EUR and of course new valuable knowledge, experiences and contacts!

Specifics on activities during the course AND costs are detailed here
