AUPEX and its Digital Literacy Programme, as an active member of All Digital, will implement a variety of workshops and training actions in order to contribute to this awareness raising campaign. The 4 main activities are:
The ALL DIGITAL RING
Based on a Scratch coding project, the participants will have to guess words through their definitions. All the words are related to digital skills, employabilitiy, lifelong learning and job opportunities in the field of STEM, coding and ICT. The format of the activity is inspired in the TV Show Alphabetical (Pasapalabra in Spanish), one of the most famous shows in Spain that will motivate participants to take part in the acitivity and guess the 27 definitions of the concepts from A to Z.
On the other hand, Scratch will allow any digital competence centre to adapt the definitions and the concepts to its own reality through and easy and practical exercise with Scratch. Three different levels of definitions have been design in order to reach all groups: people with special requirements, youth, adults or participants with an advance level of digital skills. The digital ring is an activity that can be implemented in any training activity (it takes few minutes) and will allow e-facilitators to explain the concepts that are unknown for the participants. It will also allow to celebrate contests, collaboration activities and other awareness raising events at a local level.
This activity aims to develop a lifelong learning approach to enhancing digital skills in an ever changing and increasingly digital-oriented economy. The digital ring will allow e-facilitators to show the dimension of the digital skills and its importance in the labour market.
TRUE OR FALSE?
Digital Media Literacy is an important part of this campaign. In fact, one of it aims to contribute to the developement of a critical thinking and digital media literacy, including being aware of fake news, hate speech and social media abuse. In relation to this objective, we have created an action called ‘True or False’. This action consists of a presentation with different fake and true news. Participants will have to use fact checking websites to verify those informations (job offers, politic news, advertisements,…). During the presentation e-facilitators will promote de debate on the theme.
Moreover, a online form asking about the reliability of the information will be available on the event website, so anyone can participate in this awareness raising and digital media literacy activity.
If you speak spanish, you can participate too!
