Call for Applications: VIP Fellowship Programme in Malaysia

Impact Hub Kuala Lumpur recently announced their first global fellowship programme called Volunteering for International Professionals (VIP) targeting professionals on career breaks who wish to volunteer in Malaysia for a period of 16 weeks.

The VIP Fellowship Programme is a Malaysian government initiative to create a large pool of talented professionals, who are passionate about sharing their expertise and experiences globally, as expert volunteers to evoke a long-term social change in the country by addressing Malaysia’s most pressing social issues.

By working alongside local partners and fellow volunteers, volunteers will use his or her skills to tackle critical issues in impact areas such as youth‐at‐risk, homelessness, unemployment, environment and wildlife, access to education, rural transformation, women empowerment, social equality, health, senior citizen, etc.

Designed, delivered and hosted by Impact HUB Kuala Lumpur and Scope Group on behalf of the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, the Fellowship Programme covers airfare and lodging and provides a monthly allowance for volunteers. A total of 30 international fellows and 20 Malaysian fellows will be selected to participate in the programme.
