Telecentar from Zagreb, in collaboration with the Department for programs and projects of the European Union of City of Zagreb, has held a round table conference about the development of the National Coalition for Employment in the digital industry.
The subjects of the meeting were the activities and planning of projects of Digital Agenda for creative Croatia, the inclusion of the Digital Agenda for creative Croatia in Zagreb's nomination for European Capital of Culture in 2020, and the Strategic Planning and Membership in the Digital Agenda for creative Croatia.
The round table conference was attended by representatives of Telecentar, Public Open University Zagreb, Faculty of Political Science of Zagreb University, Algebra,The Faculty of Teacher Education University of Zagreb, HRT, University of Zagreb Center for Croatian Studies, the student newspaper Global, Consulio, Inc. and the Initiative Zagreb 2020 - European Capital of Culture.
All parties agreed that a strategy is needed which would provide action plans and specific activities and thus enable effective joint action.The goal of the conference participants is to form consortiums for projects which will be submitted to national and European grant tenders.
One of those projects in Zagreb Multimedia Academy through which Digital agenda for creative Croatia would join the candidature of Zagreb for the European Capital of Culture 2020. The project is based on Telecentar's prior successful experience from the projects Media Literacy for the 21st Century, Telecentre Multimedia Academy and iProfessional.
The next step in this process will be achieved in the second meeting of these stakeholders, which will be hosted by the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb according to the rotation system.
