The national campaign for digital inclusion, implemented by the EOS Foundation Romania, has had an echo in the case of No 2 Paul Păltănea Library Branch, from Galați. This campaign is held in partnership with telecenters, libraries, schools, PAPI and other organizations.
On March 23rd 2018, as part of this campaign, an activity took place in No 2 Paul Păltănea Library Branch. The name of that specific activity was Digital competences a challenge for young people. A group of high school students from ,,Mircea Eliade” High School Galatz, was the main beneficiary of this activity. Students accessed their digital skills with the help of Skillage application where they answered questions to learn whether they have sufficient digital skills to get a job. A proper resume will increase their chances of finding a good job. This activity proved to be useful, but it also meant a challenge, for students, teachers and librarians.
We would like to send our warm thanks to EOS Foundation, ANBPR Association (National Association of Librarians and Public Libraries from Romania) and APDETIC Association for this digital inclusion campaign, during which our library users had the chance of testing their digital skills online.
