Miajadas (Extremadura, Spain) hosted an amazing All Digital Ring contest, where two groups, senior and young, participated in order to show that digital competence is not a matter of age.
On friday the 23rd, in the frame of the All Digital Week, the NCC Miajadas organiced a local event based on the All Digital Ring, an activity inspired on a TV show where participats have to guess words from A-Z trhough their definitions. All words included in the different levels of the All Digital Ring are related to digital skills, employability, media literacy, coding for inclusion and some other funny but useful concepts that help to rise awareness among citizenship.
Regional and local TV, radio and newspapers covered the event and even participated in the contest. Over 100 people filled the auditorium where the event took place. Some public authorities also attended the event: the coucilman for education, the director of SEPAD -public service for weaker/dependent groups- and the director of the employment office.
Senior group won the contest but it seems that it won’t be the last game… to be continued.
