eSkills for Jobs for the GOW2016 @ Centro Studi Foligno, ITALY

There's no doubt... the main focus of the GetOnlineWeek2016 in Foligno was on eSkills for Jobs

One week full of events targeted to NEETs, high-school students and representatives from the educational institutions of the whole Umbria Region, where the Association Study Centre "City of Foligno" is located and operates for the promotion of the digital culture on behalf of its members, namely: the Umbria Region, the Province of Perugia, the University of Perugia and the Municipality of Foligno.

We have started with an online campaign some weeks before the GOW, also inviting all the local NEETs registered to the Youth Guarantee programme to come and visit us for the Skillage Assessment of the their digital and entrpreneurial competencies, followed by a indepth session with one of our tutors for the choice of the most appropriate training course or internship offer in our catalogue.

During the GOW, the same activity has been implemented with the high-school students who are attending the preparatory courses for our Erasmus+ KA1 mobilities:

  • I-MEET - International Mobility Experience for E-Toursim
  • TREES - Three-dimensional Resources for Enhancing E-Skills

At the end of the week, we have registered more than 100 complete sessions on Skillage, which has been evaluated as a very good and interesting tool.

Finally, at the presence of almost 80 representatives from the educational and non-profit sectors, together with the #ADUmbria (the Department of the Umbria Region for the implementation of the Digital Agenda), we have celebrated the GOW2016 on the 17th of March with a Seminar on Digital Jobs and Social Innovation.

The seminar represented a good dissemination occasion for the project Generation0101, which we are implementing in partnership with other TE's members, as well as for the official launch of the Social Hackathon Umbria 2016, a project-related event that will take place in Foligno from the 6th to the 10th of July 2016.
