GOW 2016 in Latvia – chance for young people to explore FIT4JOBS tests !

During the Get Online Week 2016 youth in Latvia had a chance to evaluate their digital and computer skills by completing Fit4Jobs tests.. The test has been created within the framework of the Fit4Jobs project to evaluate computer user office productivity skills   which   every employee should have and which are  requested by almost all employers

The test includes questions about office software usage - such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.

151 participants completed  the test during the Get Online Week 2016, mostly youth aged 11-19 years. As always,  girls   were more active in Latvia  – making 57% of test takers while only  42% were male.. The average result of all of the participants is 76% out of 100% which is close to the passing score (80%), but there is still place for improvement of basic computer skills.

The highest result- 100% correct answers  was achieved by 4 participants -  all girls aged 13-19 years from Latvia`s regional cities - Jekabpils, Salaspils, Kuldiga and Preili. They all received a prize – a portable audio speaker for a mobile phone.
