During 5 days, youth from Rijeka, Zagreb, Sisak, Vilnius and Riga joint their skills and knowledge gathered during education and helped NGOs to enrich their impact on local, national and European level. They were developing 4 IT solutions – educative game or children about children’s rights, promotional video, online database of Croatian social enterprises and mobile application about mobility opportunities for youth.

Both, participants and mentors agreed on success of Hackathon as a method of knowledge evaluation and stress test for real market. After the 30 to 60 hours of education and work of individual IT products, Hackathon served as opportunity to evaluate knowledge, test problem solving skills and learn how to communicate and satisfy client. It proved its value in learning process and we are planning to organise it after each learning cycle.
