Recently the transfer of successful innovation was started to implement in Croatia, Latvia and Lithuania. This project is being coordinated by Spanish partners (D-O-T & Esplai) and the good practice from former project “e-Scouts – intergenerational learning circle for community” is being adapted to the new countries.
In 2012 the methodology for intergenerational learning approach between the youth and senior people has been developed and implemented in Bulgaria, Germany, Italia, Poland and Spain. The idea of project is to facilitate the socio-digital inclusion of elderly and youth improving local community life by ways of the intergenerational dialogue and mutual support. It means project implementers intend to build a learning circle in which the youth supports senior people in ICT usage and, in return, seniors mentor youth in their efforts to access the labor market and to face challenges of adult life, completing in this way a circle of learning, exchange and conviviality.
The project activities and learning path will be applied mainly in telecentres collaborating with eFacilitators, since they are key people to reach adults through informal learning. Through this project, they will learn how to work social, digital and labor inclusion, as well as social cohesion and participation with two distant generations at the same time, becoming Intergenerational Mediators and Facilitators.
Since the social context, the participants profile and the local needs are different in every country, the major added value and enriching factor of the transfer will be to have 3 new contextualized Intergenerational Learning Circles, as well as the spread of the ILBES methodology and the development of intergenerational skills, as a key complement of Social Inclusion Facilitator's profile.
At current stage of the project the context analyses are being accomplished, e-facilitators selected as well as online platform built. In a few weeks project team meets again where the progress of last few months will be discussed.
