International Digital Storytelling training for coaches and trainers

Training Coach Digital Storytelling

We (Maks vzw) are organising a meaty training for new and slightly experienced Digital Storytelling facilitators in Brussels, Belgium in October. The entire workshop is in English so perfect for an international crowd! If you, or anyone you know that might be interested have any questions, feel free to send me a message! (Also, feel free to share the post on our Facebook page ;)

What is a Digital Story?
A Digital Story is a one to three minute video about a personal story, based on still images and a voice over of the maker. The methodology has its origins in the United States (storycenter.org) and is a powerful tool to give vulnerable groups a voice in the societal debate. It can be used to tackle difficult themes with groups of youngsters and adults.

How to facilitate a workshop?
As a Digital Storytelling coach, you guide the participants towards their story, without influencing them. We teach you the pedagogical and technical skills you need when facilitating a workshop. The Digital Stories are entirely made by the participants themselves, without postproduction.
