Media literacy position paper and consultation

ALL DIGITAL has just published a new position paper on the Role of MEDIA LITERACY in promoting SOCIAL INCLUSION and COMMON EU VALUES: http://all-digital.org/media-literacy-role-position-paper/. The paper talks about

  • the role for media literacy in promoting common values and social inclusion in several ways: resilience, content creation, dissemination, social inclusion
  • the role of non-formal education in teaching media literacy and
  • gives examples of media literacy programmes and projects across Europe
  • provides policy recommendations in terms of funding, recognition and promotion.

We invite all unite-IT members to comment on the paper, to share it, to use it when they defend the importance of equipping everyone with the necessary skills to deal with new (online) media in a critical and informed way!
