Newcomers with experience on internet surfing

The campaign „Get Online 2015” which takes place in Medgidia has brought togheter children, teenagers, adults and seniors wishing to discover the attractive world of the Internet. The initial objective of this action was to ensure the integration of at least two hundread people in the virtual space, but the number of those who showed interest exceded the expectations.

Most of the activities organised in the past days were dedicated to the little ones who searched on the internet and received information regarding data security in the online enviroment, provided by sigur.info, and to the highschool students who tested their abilities and knowledge in IT, using the Skillage platform.

They also accessed the website YouRock.jobs, which allowed them to write a well structured CV, and the people in search for jobs have made contact with the blog keycompetences.eu (http://www.keycompetences.eu/wordpress/romanian-toolkit/about/) with the objective of increasing the chances of employment through the consolidation of the essential skills to get a job.

Today was the turn of the seniors to benefit from the whole attention of our

organisers, being prepared with a speech of digital alfabetization and inclusion into the world of the social networks. The participants learned how to use the computer and other modern communication devices like the Smartphone and the tablet.

But the activities won’t be going only during the period of the campaign „Get online!”. They will keep taking place within the same environment, being coordinated by volunteers of the library.
