Open call for abstracts to the Prague Conference "Digital Governance: From local data to European policies"

On April 18, 2013 the second Conference of the ONE Project is taking place in Prague. The conference will serve as a valuable communication platform for researchers, decision-makers and political actors, interested in Digital Agenda and strategic planning of regional policies.

The conference will welcome experts dealing with different aspect of Digital Governance:

  • Evidence based management of information society
  • Improvement of public spending effectiveness
  • Cost reduction and a better knowledge exploitation
  • Assessment of (regional) policies’ impact
  • Structural funds absorption

We are still accepting abstracts of research papers, expert presentations and case studies, dealing with the above mentioned aspect of Digital Governance and also on related topics such as:

  • ICT indicators & Digital Agenda Europe (DAE)
  • ICT Regional Organizational Model
  • DAE roadmap and mid-term evaluation
  • ICT regional organizational models
  • All about:
    • Data management and sharing of information PSI and re-use
    • Visualization of data
    • Methodologies, measurement & evaluation of digital governance
    • Regional specifics of collaborative platforms
    • Web 2.0 applications

Special attention will be paid to the topics of Open Data, linked Data, Open Knowledge and Open Government Partnership. We also expect holistic inputs concerning the whole process from local data through data analysis to creation of knowledge, which may influence the decision-making process and shaping of policies.

The organising committee is accepting suggestions for papers and presentations to be included into the conference programand into the ONE Conference book of proceedings in 2 steps:

» December 20, 2012       Abstracts (max 150 words) of papers and presentations
» February 28, 2013         Full paper (max 1000 words) /presentation (max 20 slides)

ONE Conference book of proceedings will contain full papers and abstracts of presentations and will be available electronically and in printed version (ISBN).
