Prestigious Acknowledgement from ERSTE Foundation for Open the Windows

On June 27 in Vienna, Austria, Open the Windows won a prestigious international award. The Project for e-Accessible Education, which has been supporting the educational opportunities of students with disabilities for over three years now and is funded by USAID, was one  of the 35 winners of the ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration.

Open the Windows won financial prize and will participate in a series of trainings and workshops to strengthen its organizational capacity in the next two years. Also, the organization became a member of the ERSTE Foundation NGO Academy.

The first prize went to the Little People organization from Romania for their project I Am Not Afraid.

A total of 136 finalists, from 13 countries in Europe were competing for the award, which were selected among 2000 projects which initially applied for the award.

The Award Winning Ceremony for Social Integration was held for the fourth time and the total prize fund was 616,000 euros.
