During a nomination period that runs from September 19 until October 1, Telecentre-Europe AISBL's Official Member Organizations can nominate a candidate to represent their organization at the Board.
At Telecentre-Europe, we face a new phase of development. Since October 2010 we have faced the daunting task of launching an organization to respond to the challenges with 34 member organizations in the European telecentre movement.
During these two years we have launched a series of policies based on a strategic plan, a series of contracts and partners who have placed their trust in us, built a highly competent human resources team, and qualified this all with a number of objectives.
In Warsaw we will have the opportunity to take the next steps and develop a cohesive Board that is strong and ambitious, thats supports and guides the professional staff team of the organization, so that they can perform their tasks increasingly effective and efficient.
The diversity of the various networks and social reality must also be reflected in the new Board. A variety that combines the talent and experience of its members and networks they represent. This requires developing a system of participatory government, a transparent governance model that generates greater participation of its members through new channels that open in the new era with the technological support.
This new phase should not be just a job for the new board, but of involvement and consultation of all the members of our organization.
Only official member organizations can nominate a candidate. A dedicated web page will list the candidates who have sent in their candidature and will be available on www.telecentre-europe.org during the nomination period.
The voting will take place during the General Assembly of Telecentre-Europe AISBL on October 16, in Warsaw and will be organized through a secret ballot procedure. The election results will be announced by at the end of the General Assembly, as a news item featured on our website, community site and social media channels.
The newly elected Board will meet on October 18, in Warsaw . During this meeting, the selection of Chair and Deputy Chair will be organized.
