I had the opportunity to represent Telecentre-Europe at the opening conference of the eSkills Week that took place at CeBIT 2010 - Hanover, Germany. Even if it was only for one day (2 March), I got a chance to meet a lot of interesting and potential partners or supporters of Telecentre-Europe.

I spent the first part of the day at our stand which was hosted by the eSkills Week. This helped to meet our partners from Digital Europe and to explore our collaboration and future common activities. More than that, many people visiting the stand found out about the Get Online Day and Telecentre-Europe in general.

The second part of the day was entirely dedicated to the eSkills Week Opening conference. The conference was attended by more than 100 persons and went very well. We've heard some very inspirational speeches from IT business representatives, views from European Commission and the European Parliament, as well as NGOs involvement, that has led to even more interesting discussions around eSkills.

Get Online Day was really appreciated by all contacts I've made, and hopefully by following-up with them, we will become stronger.

CeBIT 2010 has been very impressive, even if I was there for only one day. More than 4000 companies from almost 70 countries exhibited at CeBIT 2010. More information: http://www.cebit.de/homepage_e
