VI Conference Punt TIC and Prison: Growing up with robots

The Punt TIC Network and the Department of Justice of the Generalitat de Catalunya organize on Thursday June 4th the VI Conference Punt TIC and Prison: Growing up with robots. It will be held from 9.30 am to 13.45 pm in the Center for Legal Studies and Specialized Training (Carrer Ausiàs Marc 40, Barcelona).

The conference seeks to highlight some educational robotics experiences that are taking place in the educational field and think about their chances in the socio-educational field of prisons and in the community level.

It will begin with the institutional welcome and the conference “Possibilities of educational robotics” by Frank Sabate, a teacher at School Project Barcelona and one of the pioneers in the introduction of programming in the classroom as part of school itinerary.

Then the attendees will participate in three rounds of concurrent workshops:

  1. The relevance of educational robotics. Led by Artur Coll, teacher and computer scientist who works in the area of ​​Learning Technologies and Knowledge Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
  2. Educational robotics in different learning contexts. In charge of Pau Nin, responsible for training Ro-Botica.
  3. Experiences within the prison. Future opportunities. Led by Luis Carbonell, e-facilitator in CP Puig de les Basses, and Nèstor Andreu, e-facilitator in CP Lledoners.

The meeting will end with the sharing of experiences.
