Webinar description: Entrepreneurs keep our economy and society vibrant by implementing new ideas. Developing entrepreneurial competences can be initiated through education. Youth Start has an experiential, self-directed learning program that is embedded in the existing curriculum and is currently being implemented in Austria, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Portugal and Slovenia. This webinar provides an overview of the learning challenges and the policy experimentation project that is contributing to evidence-based public policy in European schools.
Webinar Speakers:
Prof. Redford is an internationally recognized expert on entrepreneurship and public policy. He has worked with the US Department of Commerce, the European Commission, the OECD, the UN and various European and African governments. He is the International Coordinator of the largest policy experimentation project on experiential entrepreneurship education in primary and secondary schools in the EU. His newest book, Developing Africa's Financial Services - The Importance of High-Impact Entrepreneurship will be published in 2017. His previous volume the Entrepreneurial University Handbook (2014) is now available in paperback.
Mr. Johannes Lindner is founder and head of the Initiative for Teaching Entrepreneurship Austria (www.entrepreneurship.at) and of the "eesi" Center for Entrepreneurship Education (www.eesi-impulszentrum.at), which is working on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. He is an author of entrepreneurial, business and economic books and several journal articles. He was member of the Thematic Working Group on Entrepreneurship Education and Transversal Skills (Entrepreneurship Education) from DG Education - European Commission. 2012 he has received the Ashoka Fellowship (the first in Austria). Mr. Johannes Lindner also teaches entrepreneurship education and business didactics at the University of Vienna and is founder of the Kitzbüheler Summeruniversity for Entrepreneurship Education.
