An army of enthusiasts committed to promotion of e-skills and digital empowerment participated in GOW16 in Serbia this year. More than 8500 citizens took part in numerous activities organised mainly by creative teachers from primary and secondary schools as well as librarians, NGO activists and professional associations throughout the country.
The forthcoming Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is an annual UN event that deals with policies related to internet and topics related to internet governance, among other things access and e-literacy. This year it takes places in Brazil on 9-13 November and some of the topics are Inclusiveness and Diversity, Openness, Internet and Human Rights, Internet Economy, etc.
