Her social media accounts:

For her users, the digital competence centre is a space of joy, fun, positivity, motivation and learning opportunities. Her attitude and enthusiasm is what makes her different from any other e-facilitator in the world. Moreover, Maria Ángeles is an artist. She performs both traditional and contemporary music with a very personal style. That brings her the possibility to build a special connection with users in social networks, where they can follow her latest performances and also the latest news about digital skills!

Working with a smile is very valuable for both users and the Digital Skills Programme team.

Maria Ángeles has turned the digital competence centre into a space where all neighbours like to be, getting them closer to digital technologies, its potential and the way to improve their digital inclusion chances, especially adult women, with whom she has a stronger connection.

From the very first day the lockdown started, Maria Ángeles started providing support and guidance to her users. During lockdown, she has covered over 160 online assistance services to help users complete different online procedures: unemployment subsidies, email and social network management or cybersecurity issues. She has also developed awareness raising activities related to disinformation and media literacy about covid-19.

María Ángeles is engaged in different social and cultural projects, where she always contributes with training and support in the use of digital technologies. Especially relevant is the work she does with immigrant population. The town is the home for a group of immigrants who work as street vendors. They are regular users of the digital competence center, where they have access to Internet and free training that allow them to improve their digital skills and, therefore, their social and labour inclusion opportunities.
